Impress your fellow HP Lovecraft fans and cultists alike with this insanely impressive Cthulhu totem! This fine art sculpture was cast exclusively by the artist Meatspider for Shana Logic, and each highly detailed Cthulhu has been hand-painted. This limited edition item is truly unique and an awesome portrayal of the Elder God — via ShanaLogic
The Japanese custom shops have been modifying the Estrella-based 250TR for years, and Heiwa has got it down to a fine art. They’ve just released this lovely machine, tidying up the messy tail of the stock bike and giving the overall aesthetics an even lighter and sleeker look — via Bike EXIF
The site is located in Almeria, municipality of Mojacar, in the surrounding area of Cerro del Albar. It is a rugged topography, with steep and open distant horizon over the sea. On the site there exists a small platform, which will be used as base for the building. The project [MVN Architects] had to answer two questions raised by the client: One, offer a solution that would allow feeling the horizon as part of the house. Two, develop a housing program for a marriage with two children, according to the following needs: garage and kitchen; lounge dining room and office-library; main room, rooms for the children and guests; and a small sauna, workshop of sculpture and painting, and court-warehouse for drying and storage of parts. — via ArchDaily
Cyrus Watches has introduced the new Klepcys Mars
watch, featuring the Face on Mars
on the dial as well as a miniature construction of the entire planet. It seems that having a hand-painted Red Planet
on the piece was not enough, though, as the spheroid on the Cyrus Klepcys actually rotates at its real-world sideral speed of 24 hours, 37 minutes and 22 seconds (time that it takes the planet to rotate once on its axis) — via Perpetuelle
There’s a definite retro tinge to many Motor Rock builds though, reflecting the Japanese appreciation of all things vintage. This lovely Kawasaki W650, a recent creation, is a prime example: it takes an already classic-looking motorcycle even further back in time. And without compromising function in the quest for style — via Bike EXIF
In the 18th century, the Royal Gunpowder Mills housed the largest gunpowder works in Britain, and it remained a centre for the production of and research into explosives until 1991.
Two early 20th century buildings, the Power House and the Water Tower, have been converted [Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects] to form a new headquarters office for the client, while remaining faithful to the industrial history of the site. A new three-storey glazed structure completes the office complex and incorporates a top-floor terrace which links all three buildings and gives magnificent views out over the adjacent water meadows — via ArchDaily
After the success of the iconic Space Invaders watches, Romain Jerome is once again taking you on a crazy round of video games with a limited series of 80 watches designed after the cult Pac-Man. In association with Namco Bandai Games, Romain Jerome is bringing the famous yellow character back to life with four different models of 20 pieces each — paying tribute to the flagship Eighties icon — via Perpetuelle
Two years ago Buzz Kanter, Editor-in-Chief of American Iron Magazine, rode his 1915 Harley-Davidson across most of the United States in the first Motorcycle Cannonball endurance ride. And now he’s about to do it again on this very rare 1929 Harley JDH. That’s 6,366 km on an 83-year-old bike.
This JDH will be a little quicker than the machine Buzz rode two years go: It’s essentially a detuned factory race engine in a standard JD street chassis. Harley offered the JDH Two Cam
in very limited quantities, and only during 1928 and 1929. Many believe there are less than 1,500 real JDHs left in the world, and most of them are in museums or private collections — via Bike EXIF
The house [elton léniz arquitectos asociados] is located in a privileged area of ground in terms of views, orientation, etc so the shape of the house adapts to the existing, respecting the existence of a large rock cliff and a number of native trees. Both the shape of the house as its program does not serve the purpose of intervening the natural landscape. that is why the house is composed of two volumes connected by a bridge way around the rock and adapt to the position of the trees — via ArchDaily
At one time in their lives, these G4 towers were Apple’s flagship workstations — possibly cutting hundreds of hours of footage or editing thousands of photos. But today they’re barely useful as paperweights and probably best suited as a pair of stylish supports for this Crunching Numbers coffee table.
$US600 might seem a little steep for a pair of defunct computer towers and a large piece of glass, but there’s probably quite a few man hours involved in turning the hardware into a centrepiece for any Apple fanatic’s living room. The addition of a brightly painted shock absorber in-between is a little odd, as are the non-functioning cranks on the towers, but let’s just chock those up to design for design’s sake — via Gizmodo Australia
This house [Bourne Blue Architecture] is for leisure. Seal Rocks is all about surfing, the bush and the ocean. The attributes of a family home have been distilled down to the basics, moulded to suit the site and optimised for holidays. There is just one bathroom, a big shower, one living space but plenty of room on the hammock deck or on the day bed — via ArchDaily
Award-winning architect Frank Gehry has been commissioned to design a fancy new campus for Facebook.
Frank was the perfect architect,
Facebook spokesman Slater Tow said, Mercury News reported. Gehry is best known for designing the Guggenheim Museum in Balboa, Spain and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.

Custom motorcycles are often about sacrifice. As looks improve, functionality suffers. And most of the time, it doesn’t matter, especially if a bike is only ridden for short blasts, or down to a local watering hole. But it’s good to see the occasional long-haul machine given the custom treatment — like this 1978 BMW R80/7 from Crowe Customs of Portland, Oregon — via Bike EXIF

The Big Buddhas at Maijishan, originally uploaded by Mark.
China has four major Buddhist cave complexes — by far the most visited being the Longmen caves. Less well known are the Maijishan Grottoes. Situated in Gansu Province in the northwest of China, this astonishing example of cave architecture hewn from rock consists of over 7,000 Buddhist sculptures not to mention almost 1000 square meters of murals — via kuriositas
Richard Mille describe their new diver as brown, but it’s more like a rich burst of orange, destined to glow in the murky depths and achieve stand out at any cocktail party. The RM028 has the same technical characteristics as its previous versions in titanium or titanium with a DLC coating: a skeletonised automatic movement, a rotor with variable geometry or the free sprung balance with variable inertia — via Watchuseek
Two defining notions drove the design [Steve Domoney Architecture] for this new home in Hawthorn.
Firstly, the recognition that the street is currently in transition with the post war brick bungalow style dwelling giving way to more recent contemporary dwellings.
Secondly, with the establishment of a larger family home on the site than currently exists, the need to balance the perception of openness from within against a heightened need for privacy with the greater intensity of development now surrounding the site — via ArchDaily
