Tributes are being paid to Australian rock music pioneer Vincent Lovegrove, who died in a car crash on the New South Wales north coast on the weekend.
Lovegrove shared a stage with Bon Scott in 1960s bubblegum band The Valentines, and later introduced Scott to the other members of AC/DC.
He also managed Cold Chisel in the mid-1970s, and later managed The Divinyls.

Titanic director James Cameron has resurfaced after descending to the deepest part of the Pacific Ocean in an Australian-made solo submarine.

Australia’s current generation of federal politicians have trashed the nation’s reputation abroad and fostered a sense of disillusionment and apathy among voters through their lack of leadership, says former prime minister Malcolm Fraser.
In an interview for The Zone today, Mr Fraser lambasts both major political parties for taking the nation backwards on issues including indigenous and immigration policy and foreign relations.
He says they have resorted to attacking each other rather than taking a lead on developing good policy.

On 29 February, Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon welcomed the birth of two baby Cheetahs. The cubs, named Mchumba and Khayam, are being hand-reared by park vets to ensure their safety. On Monday, residents of Port Heiden discovered a deceased Northern sea otter and her surviving male pup along Meshik Beach. The Port Heiden community provided overnight care for the otter, feeding him every four hours as instructed by Centrer staff. The pup was then flown to King Salmon, where ASLC senior veterinarian Dr Pam Tuomi joined him on his journey to the professional care facility in Seward. Schools in Brazil have started to place computer chips in school uniforms to keep track of pupils and reduce truancy.
Some 20,000 pupils in the north-eastern city of Vitoria da Conquista will have microchips embedded in their school T-shirts.
The parents will get a text message when their children arrive at school, or if they are late for classes.

Stephen Fry has confirmed he and Sir Ian McKellen will pay a copyright licence fee so a Southampton pub can carry on trading as The Hobbit.
The pub was threatened with legal action by Hollywood film firm the Saul Zaentz Company (SZC) which accused it of copyright infringement.
It later offered to resolve the dispute over the pub’s name and decor by licensing it to use JRR Tolkien brands.
