Cuttlefish Necklace / Chris Taylor

This pendant captures the spirit and beauty of the enigmatic cuttlefish in an attractive two-toned finish. The intricately patterned mantle (muscular outer covering) of this cuttlefish is cast in antiqued pewter, while the arms, body, and underlying anatomy are rendered in antiqued brass. This pendant is not just an adornment, it is also a carefully researched educational keepsake. If you pull on the arms of this cuttlefish, its head and body pull free of its mantle, revealing its internal anatomy. The cuttlebone, gills, branchial and systemic hearts, and all of of the other organs are rendered in minute detail. Let go of the arms, and the head and mantle snap back together — via Etsy

Bali, Greater One-Horned Rhino / ZSL Whipsande Zoo

Bali the greater one-horned rhino calf has been winning the hearts of visitors and keepers alike after he was born just in time to join in the celebrations for World Rhino Day.

The greater one-horned rhino are classified as Vulnerable, with less than 3,000 believed to be left in the wild so the birth of Bali is great news for the international breeding programme and the team at ZSL Whipsande Zoo — via Youtube

Baby Octopus Plush / Cherie Price

Baby Octopus is made of soft, dark blue tonal fleece, with sort of a hand-dyed look to the fabric. His curling tentacles are lined with turquoise blue dimpled minky, complete with little raised bumps that resemble his would-be suction cups! Baby Octopus is gently stuffed with polyfil, holding all the cuddles you can stand. Baby Octopus has little black plastic safety eyes. Baby Octopus is made from my own design for plush octopi. Because of variations of fabric prints, direction of fabric cut, and hand-sewing, each octopus will be unique! Since Baby Octopus doesn’t have a name, we’ll leave that up to you! Baby Octopus’ body measures about 14 ½ inches around at the largest, his overall length is about 14 inches (from the top of his head to the tip of his toes, with his tentacles uncurled) — via Etsy
