The incoming all-new 2011 Rolex Explorer Orange Hand
really is Night and Day compared to it outgoing predecessor as you can clearly see in the photo comparison below. Rolex changed the dated Logan’s Run
typeface on the bezel and made it smaller and bolder, which gives the watch a much more streamlined look — via Jake’s Rolex World

. They’re on a mission to resurrect old and unloved motorcycles—and in a way, recycle them into classics. Untitled started in 2010 with a BMW R80/7 as their first project, and have just released two more bikes for sale—including the silver machine shown here, the Scrambler UM-2

Temption is one of my favorite boutique German watch brands, and will release this new version of their CGK collection soon. The CGK205 is the follow up to the CGK204 based on the CGK203. The collection houses a decorated Swiss ETA Valjoux 7751 automatic movement (a 7750 with an annual calendar, moon phase, and synced 24 hour hand), and lays out the dial info really nicely. For the CGK205 Temption refines the design a bit and ads a new metal bracelet option — via A Blog to Read
The design of this home [Popov Bass Architects] has grown from the constraints and opportunities offered by its beautiful but challenging site. The site is an irregular shape that drops vertically three storeys from the street edge and enjoys views to the harbour to the east and north-east. The neighbouring dwelling was designed by Burley Griffin, with typical organic details — via ArchDaily
Dude, really. I don’t say this to be cruel, but you’ve got to shape up, okay? I mean, they’re talking about you in the boardroom, and not in a good way — via Woot
This is the Harbormaster Spinnaker
from newcomer Stolas Watches.
The Harbormaster is their first watch, available in three models: Genoa, Spinnaker and Gennaker. Different colors, bands and dials, with all sharing the other details. In common are the 44mm, stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, lumed bezel, lightning seconds hand, 200m water resistance, screwdown crown and bezel. The more expensive Genoa model adds applied hour markers, silver embossed dial and ETA 2824 movement; the movements in the others are Shanghai (SMC) 2824 clones — via A Blog to Read

In Indonesia, the Honda Tiger GL200 is a popular commuter bike—a simple and low-cost thumper with nondescript plastic bodywork. Actually, nondescript
is not the right word: it’s an eyesore. According to Deus Bali, the bike comes out of the Honda factory looking pretty ugly. It’s covered in spaceship-esqe plastic covers and faux chrome pieces, which do it no justice.
So Deus stripped the Tiger down until it was nothing but frame and brackets. They then ground, welded and molded the chassis, binning extraneous mounts and beefing up where required. The result has been dubbed the Tiger’s Milk
, and the bike you see here is the first of three, with a comprehensive spec sheet including a custom tank, exhaust, seat and fenders. The headlight is from a Harley-Davidson, and the taillight is from Posh Factory in Japan. A Daytona speedo is mounted on Ventura bars, fitted with BSA grips. The engine breathes a little easier thanks to a K&N air filter, while Icon shocks keep the back end under control. Deus Bali has transformed the humble GL200 into the kind of bike you just want to jump on and ride, and the price is a reasonable 70,000,000 Indonesia Rupiahs—just under $8,000 — via Bike EXIF
Last year, Swiss watchmaker Corum turned a lot of heads with its launch of the limited edition Deep Hull 48, the brand’s first extreme dive watch and one with an imposing look and impressive 1,000 meter water resistance. This year, Corum is releasing two more models in the range — and wow am I excited — these watches look great. Today I’m going to show you the new Corum Seafender 46 — think of it as a slightly less imposing version of the Deep Hull 48. Toned down (albeit slightly) are the case size — 46mm, and the water resistance — 300 meters. The titanium case, matching titanium buckle (on the vulcanized rubber strap), and other features remain intact. These changes will not only make the watch more wearable, but also more affordable (at ~$7,800 the Deep Hull was already very competitively priced) — via Perpetuelle.com Blog
This tower studio [Centerbrook Architects and Planners] is the latest addition to a musician’s residence that includes her home and a detached music studio. A master violinist and music teacher who performs around the world, the client wanted to expand her house by adding a tower studio that would regale her with treetop views as she practiced, alone, with students, or fellow musicians — via ArchDaily
This is the new Franck Muller Giga Tourbillon, and what a looker it is. The aptly named watch features a whopping 20mm diameter tourbillon which dominates the entire lower half of the watch. Franck Muller claims this it the largest tourbillon ever incorporated into a wristwatch. The highly skeletonized watch is awe inspiring with its sweeping curves and arcs, the focal piece being the elegant “M” (and the somewhat hard to see “F”) that sits directly on top of the tourbillon cage — lest you forget this piece is anything other than a Franck Muller! — via Perpetuelle.com Blog
The Red house [Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS Architects MNA] is located in the western suburbs of Oslo.

Is it a garage or an art gallery with a Ferrari parked in it? Brentwood resident Holger Schubert’s 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi Boxer
makes its home in a 1,200-square-foot space that recently won Maserati and Architectural Digest’s Design Driven contest for best garage. Schubert’s garage
— hereafter I use the word with an asterisk of skepticism ? is breathtaking. Beautiful. Exquisite. But where are the tools, the work benches, the girlie calendars? Schubert concedes that it isn’t a typical, oil-on-the-floor garage, and he’s comfortable with that. I wanted to create a backdrop for the car as a piece of art,
