US ‘cannot rely on cluster bomb deal’ with Britain

A former foreign office minister has said the US should not rely on any apparent secret deal to store banned cluster munitions on British territory.

Chris Bryant was responding to a leak on the Wikileaks website suggesting the US could be exempted from the ban. The Labour MP said: If the Americans are relying on that then they were being led up the garden path — via dungbeetlemania.newsvine.com

Pomaran? Residence / AOCR | ArchDaily

The Pomaran? Residence occupies nearly its entire site, and is located between the main train station and the vineyards. The natural grade of the site creates an interesting opportunity. Morpheus Passagen HR Giger Automatic

Morpheus Passagen HR Giger Automatic

One of HR Giger’s most known series of works is the Passagen collection. Erotic and sensual, it actually depicts a rear opening of a German garbage truck, the stinky hole where waste bins are emptied into.

While Mr HR Giger was inspired by a garbage truck, the Atelier Morpheus Passagen watch is inspired by Mr HR Giger’s works. And it shows: the watch, which is available either in a black PVD or 18-carat gold-plated case looks like a scale 3D model of a fragment of his Opus Magnum — via World Watch Review

The moves leave only seven /8 blocks – 2.7 per cent of the total of 256 – unallocated by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) — via redwolf.newsvine.com

The central IT office of Australia’s Federal Government has requested that agencies consider the use of alternative file formats to Adobe’s PDF.

The advice follows a study which found that while accessibility of the Portable Document Format (PDF) has improved over time and remains a popular format for many organisations, it was less accessible to visually-impaired users — via redwolf.newsvine.com
