The geometry only pretends to answer the question of how a house can be deformed by events occurring within the surrounding landscape, be they far or close to it. The operation was compatible with a particular request of the client: a clear division of interior spaces. These were finally connected through voids that separate but still permit a visual relation between them, as if they were smaller houses — via ArchDaily
Landfall is an updating of an old mid century home that makes for a sophisticated and quirky design update from the always original and quirky Bates and Masi.
The two could not be more different. Bates is a Southerner in his eighties who studied under Frank Lloyd Wright, and Masi who grew up the child of a couple of artists, was fresh out of Harvard grad school when the two got together. But they share a lighthearted approach to architecture

This lovely Moto Guzzi 1000 SP custom is the latest creation from prolific Italian custom shop Officine RossoPuro. It’s called the TTre—a reference to Guzzi’s classic T3 nomenclature and the Isle of Man TT. As an SP, this is one of the last Guzzis to use the desirable Tonti frame: it also sported a large windshield and a rather awkward lower fairing, with cutouts for the huge V-twin cylinders. Today, this makes the SP less desirable and therefore cheaper than most classic Guzzis. That’s good news for builders like Filippo Barbacane, who appreciate the underlying aesthetics of the bike — via Bike EXIF
FyF is located in the outskirts of Rosario [the second largest city in Argentina], approximately 300 km north of Buenos Aires. The small house of approximately 200 m2 is built in a new residential development adjacent to a traditional neighborhood. FyF can be described as a spatial and physical attempt to challenge the planar stability and flat homogeneity of the Pampas landscape in a domestic setting. The project was conceived as a monolithic solid, a monochromatic form punctuated only by subtle inflections that establish a complex physical relationship among the different spaces while maintaining a sense of identity and privacy between them — via ArchDaily
This is a watch that I really never thought was going to be made. It started out as a concept watch called the Galibier
based upon a concept car from Bugatti with the same name. Fabien Cacheux designed it to have a perlage decorated drum case
, Bugatti logo, and an interesting strap system. Less than a year later, a more practical version of the piece is being made – but in very limited quantities and it will be called the Cacheux Elephant Automatic

The inspiring imagination of Antoni Gaudí undoubtedly reveals itself in one of his most poetic and artistic designs for a building, Casa Batlló. The bike is owned by Pat McGowan of Northern NJ. I was going to try and build a bike myself,
he says. I started getting parts together and went to Dodge of Bling’s Cycles to order a frame and other stuff of his I liked. But after talking with him, I decided I would be better off letting him build it

It all starts with the logo. The little Swiss flag made into a strong looking shield. It is a slight modification of the logo of the actual Swiss Military. A not so subtle reminder of the value of the Swiss watch industry, and the strength of the brand — via A Blog to Read
Located in Racine, Wisconsin, the SC Johnson and Son Administration Building is one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s most important statements about the nature of office buildings. The fact that a large portion of land lies three meters below street level and the typical conformation of this urban batch 10X40m enabled a large open space that is straightforward and transparent. This space is defined in one side by the north face structure, a parallel free wall which houses a library containing 7,500 volumes and on the other side by a parallel block, an all closed space – a block with three stories that contains all the services, equipment and dormitories — via ArchDaily
