Meet WebMatrix, Microsoft’s New Suite For Painless Web Development

Microsoft has unveiled a new all-in-one web development suite called WebMatrix. It’s more than an IDE or a framework, it’s a whole suite — a web server, a SQL database, and a database-ready framework, all wrapped up into a single development environment that makes it easy to build, test and deploy some fairly complex web apps. WebMatrix is free, and it’s available for Windows users as a beta download.

Blackberry Buckle…

This week's basket from Farmhouse Delivery was so beautiful…full of colorful not quite summer bounty. I spotted a big basket of blackberries hidden under the rainbow chard. The four cups of blackberries included were exactly the amount needed to make a Blackberry Buckle for dessert. First Buckle of the Spring/Summer fruit season — via Bless Her Heart

Add PDFs to iTunes for easy syncing

If you have iTunes 9.2 and iOS4 installed on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, the iBooks app can view PDF files in addition to other e-book formats. That means you can easily bring any PDF with you for reading on-the-go. An anonymous MacOSXHints.com reader found an easy way to add almost any kind of document to iTunes's Books collection:

The Best Social Media Icons All In One Place

The ability to easily bookmark or share content on popular social media platforms is now a must have feature for web sites. It’s also important that this feature isn’t over looked by web site visitors. So it’s always a good idea to use icons when linking to social media sites. They get peoples attention and the logos are immediately recognizable. I’ve taken the time to round up what I believe are the best free social media icons out there — via Web Design Ledger

Trove

Trove is a new discovery experience focused on Australia and Australians. It supplements what search engines provide. If you are researching in the fields of the social sciences, literature, local or family history, or need inspiration for your school assignment, then this is the tool for you.

For example if researching images relating to Edmund Barton, our first Prime Minister, results will include descriptions such as people, book, manuscript, map and newspaper articles. A researcher searching for information on Nellie Melba will be presented with a range of results including biographies, pictures, music, newspapers, books etc.

Meet Yoda. He’s little, but he can still do great things! My daughter told me she wants one in purple after meeting him 😉 lol. Remember, these instructions can be adjusted to what you have. Feel free to try different hook sizes, different types of yarn, etc. And, I forgot to meaure him before I mailed him, but he was about 5 inches maybe? No bigger than my hand for sure — via Happy Together

Australian Government Twitter Accounts

This is a list of Twitter accounts that appear to be maintained by the agencies of Australian governments. The list is not actively screened for whether these accounts are still live or how actively they Tweet. I also cannot verify that all of these accounts are official. If you are aware of any additional government twitter accounts, or that any on the current list that are not official, please provide feedback via this page — via eGov AU

Crocheted Produce Bag

Well, I thought since the produce bag was something I just made up real quick I should post the pattern. I am sure there are way better ones out there, but most of them end up decreasing at the end to get a smaller opening, but I wanted mine large so leafy stuff that I buy in multiple little bunches could poke out, like baby broccoli or bok choy. So here is the pattern, just in case you want to make a couple as well — via Oh the Cuteness!
