Police have smashed a Romanian organised crime gang that allegedly hacked into the computer systems of small businesses, with credit card details of 30,000 Australians used in $30 million worth of illegal transactions around the world.
An Australian Federal Police and Romanian National Police investigation led to the arrest of 16 gang members this week, and seven people in Romania have been charged.

Ovarian tissue transplants could be used like egg-freezing to preserve a woman’s fertility into her 40s and 50s but IVF specialists say they will only offer it to women whose fertility is threatened by illness such as cancer.
On Wednesday Monash IVF announced it had preserved a woman’s fertility by taking ovarian tissue from her before she had breast cancer treatment in 2005, freezing it, and reimplanting it in her this year. It allowed the 43-year-old woman’s body to resume natural ovulation.

16-year-old Norwegian, Lars Andreas Bjercke downloaded an application on his smartphone, which aims to attract foxes to the phone. The phone was imitating rabbit sounds.
The application worked so well that the fox circled around LLars’s yard for several nights. At one point, Lars decided to put the phone in the middle of the road, the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang says.
The fox soon walked up to the phone. At first, he was afraid of it, but soon dared to get closer and smell it. Suddenly, the fox grabbed the phone and ran into the bushes.
Lars was amused with the situation, and he ran after the fox. The fox, however, had a different plan, disappearing with the phone.

This design reminds me of Japanese art meets Hieroglyphics with sort of an industrial feel… Octopus style! It was created in my favourite way… no planning and just going with the flow. It is the last of the three rings of a series. I fabricated the ring out of sheet metal, tubing, using rolling mill techniques. But don’t be fooled, the tubing was goes straight through the top of the ring and actually rests on your finger when you wear it! Just an fun and funky touch to make it different. PVC is great: cheap, common, easy to work, and easy to join temporarily or permanently. Only problem is, it’s kinda ugly, much of which owes to the fact that it only comes in white, grey, sometimes black, and (if you’re willing to pay through the nose) clear. Furniture grade
PVC pipe can sometimes be found with integral colour, but you’re limited to factory shades and if you want matching elbows, tees, or other fittings, you’re out of luck, because fittings only come in white. Sure, you can paint it, but PVC doesn’t take paint all that well, and the paint is prone to flake and screws up the dimensional tolerances. With stain, you get colour that doesn’t flake or add thickness, so you can stain pipe and fittings different colours before assembly and still expect them to fit. You can even take them apart and reassemble them in some other way without affecting the finish — via MAKE
