The Kawasaki S1 is rarely found in the US. Which is a pity, because this air-cooled two-stroke triple is reportedly a fun ride. Sometimes known as the Mach 1
, it lived up to its name—road testers managed to wring almost 100 mph out of it in the early 70s. This dark and subtle café racer comes from Twinline Motorcycles of Seattle — via Bike EXIF

Ennis House by Frank Lloyd Wright, originally uploaded by Scott Beale.
A landmark house, designed in the style of a Mayan temple, by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright has been bought for $4.5m (£2.79m).
Ennis House was originally put on the market in 2009 for $15m but the sale price was later lowered. The building needs substantial restoration work.
It was bought by supermarket tycoon Ron Burkle who will continue renovating it, the building’s sellers announced — via redwolf.newsvine.com
Round by name, round by nature, that’s this Arthur AJ Marshman-designed Horton Rounds house in Horton, Northamptonshire.
Arthur AJ Marshman designed the house in 1966 on the grounds of the old tennis courts to Horton House. Why he decided on circular is anyone’s guess, but we’re glad he did, as he’s left us a stunning period gem set out over three floors, with an annexe wing and some good outside space.
Want it? Offers of around £799,950 will probably be accepted. Find out more at the Michael Graham web site — via Retro To Go

This house on the island of St Croix was inspired by the client’s love of sailing. Perched on land at the edge of the sea, Pride’s Rest looks as if a strong gust of wind could billow up what looks like its sail and it would just sail off, into the bright blue yonder of the US Virgin Islands. Lindsay Brown Studio was the perfect choice for the house. Their other work – in particular, the revitalization project for the San Diego waterfront – shares the billowing curves of this radial plan — via Home Design Find

Luxury watch brand Frédéric Jouvenot presents a new watch: Inti, a world premier timepiece featuring jumping heliocentric display.
Telling the time remains instinctive. Each hour keeps its conventional position and the minutes are indicated by a central cartouche fitted with an index that completes a revolution on the fixed minute disc. The display maintains the conventional angular gap of a watch for instinctive reading — via Watchuseek Watch Blog

The idea came when we [T3arc] built Cafe Five, where we saw the need to adapt an inexpensive room for users. In our search for solutions, we found Desparkhotel, the work of the architect Andreas Strauss in 2006, using recycled concrete pipes for hotel rooms. Our client decided to make a hotel with the same characteristics as the Desparkhotel on a ground that is located on the outskirts of Tepoztlan, with excellent panoramic views of the Sierra del Tepozteco. Located in a wooded setting of unusual features, the surrounding environment provides an unique natural environment and for our project — via ArchDaily
The new IWC Montre d’Aviateur Chronographe Edition Patrouille Suisse (Ref. 3717) limited edition pilot’s watch was issued to support the famous aerobatics team of the Swiss Air Force that was formed in 1964 and changed its paint scheme exactly 20 years ago to incorporate the red and white colors of the Swiss flag.
Limited at only 300 pieces, the watch differs from the other members of the family only with its color scheme and with the shape of the counter tip on the central chronograph hand. The latter is formed to resemble the Northrop F-5E Tiger II as seen from above — via World Watch Review
This watch follows in the footsteps of the popular Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition watch from 2010, and while it does not have the 1,000 meter water resistance rating of the Great Barrier Reef, the Oris Maldives edition is unique in its own right with a titanium case, crown guard, and a ceramic-inlayed bezel that has a neat brushed
finish on it. Limited to 2000 pieces, the Oris Maldives Limited Edition dive watch price is $2,450 on rubber strap and $2,650 on a metal bracelet — via Perpetuelle.com Watch Blog

Many of Scott Rothstein’s possessions were sold at auction on 23 January 2010 — including the aforementioned Franck Muller wall clock. This Wednesday, July 13, 2011, Rothstein’s watches will be sold to the highest bidder at auction — via redwolf.newsvine.com
A stunning piece of modernism in London SE26, this 1930s Berthold Lubetkin-designed Six Pillars modernist house, which is on the market for a not-inconsiderable price.

If you had to list the builders at the top of today’s custom scene, most observers would put Deus in the top five. A lot of this reputation comes from transforming Yamaha’s SR series—a machine that’s not officially sold in Australia, but is well-suited to Sydney’s rutted streets. So we bring you the latest Deus SR, nicknamed Oddjob — via Bike EXIF
