Polymer Clay Skull Ring / Rokacola

This handmade skull ring was crafted out Fimo Soft Polymer Clay. I made this for a boy with a hardcore attitude!

I used pastel yellow for the base, carved out all the details and baked for 10 minutes at 230°F. When it was cool enough, I was able to push black clay in all the carved details, and added two little balls of red clay for the eyes.

Then I attached the skull piece to an adjustable ring blank with super glue. Along with the glue, I secured the Skull piece with a little bit more black clay and liquid polymer clay for added stability. There’s no way he’ll escape. Finally I put it back into the oven one more time for 25 minutes, and it was ready to meet its new owner — via Rokacola

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk / Michelle Vackar

One of our favourite outside activities at our home is drawing with chalk on the driveway. You can play hopscotch, four-square, and of course draw and create silly stories. My daughters and I were talking one day as we played hopscotch about how to make chalk and I thought to myself, let’s try it! It ended up being quite a lot of fun — via oh my! handmade goodness

Twin Rail Mobius Pendant / stop4stuff

Inspired by the well known mobius strip (discovered by August Ferdinand Mobius in 1858), an interest in the unusual, and 3D modelling, I created the Twin Rail mobius pendant.

A half shell and 3 rails form a bearing-like structure to encapsulate a train of 6mm balls in a mind-warping cage with a twisting, fascinating movement bringing to life the only pendent of its kind in the world.

Includes a 4mm loop for attaching to a necklace or leather cord — via Shapeways
