As part of Project:Redecorate I’m going to share a pillow tutorial so you can see how easy it was to make these modern quilted pillows. And no, I’m not turning into a quilter since Sewvivor. However that challenge did give me an appreciation for quilting technique, and I’m happy to employ it here as I’ve decided that for the new pillows I want to focus on texture over prints. There will be more textured pillows coming up in future posts in this series. As soon as I get them made — via Melly Sews
This is a very simple FLORA project with no soldering — a single NeoPixel lights up on an embroidered angler fish on a pair of shorts. The main board is stitched on the front of the design, in the belly of the fish. A snap is used on the fin as a digital switch, triggering a colour change in the pixel in the angler’s lure. Follow the circuit diagram to stitch up this circuit, and tuck the battery in the pocket — via Adafruit Learning System
Nudibranchs, also known as sea slugs, are small brightly coloured animals that come in endless variations. This pendant is modelled after the hermissenda crassicornis species. This is made from translucent polymer clay and has orange spikes tipped with tiny flecks of white clay, a subtly blue tinted body, and the distinctive yellow stripe down it’s centre — via Etsy
I went and wallpapered the fridge. Annnnnnnnd it’s amazing. I take no credit in this because I didn’t make the stuff, I just stuck in on there, but wow, this is a good thing. A very good thing. I mean, I have a lot of weird and wonderful things in my kitchen but this sucker is a show stopper. You walk in the room and it hits you like a bag of Thunder Cats. Hey now that is a fridge! — via Aunt Peaches

In the depths of the oceans lurks one of the world’s most mysterious and strange looking creatures. The Angler lures prey with her lantern. This plush Angler is made from polar fleece and polyfil and has a working LED light. To light your Angler, simply snap the metal snap inside the velcro pouch to complete the circuit — via Etsy
Mugshots. Woven mugshots. Elaborate, meticulous, and absolutely stunning woven mugshots. LOVE!!! This is the work of American artist Joanne Arnett, and I am completely smitten. She’s still in the process of setting up her website. She weaves large scale portraits with wire so the face is visible when light bounces off it. The images shift, like a giant daguerreotype from positive to negative depending on where the viewer stands, or sometimes they completely disappear into the plane of fabric — via The Jealous Curator
Officer, it’s not what it looks like! I did not steal this car; that’s my key! Why are you getting out your taser?!
NOTE: Having this much weight and leverage hanging out of your ignition is not going to be good for it. One bump and your tumblers are toast. It also won’t work if you’ve got a modern car with a chip in the key. Consider yourself warned — via HaHa Bird

Long ago, I made my very first ever crochet project… a granny square. I learned the double crochet stitch and haven’t let go of my hook since. The double crochet stitch is one of those skills that is very handy to know for a wide array of patterns and projects. In patterns it is usually abbreviated dc
