The lovely set I made for myself. This set includes the massive necklace, fake gauges and a bracelet. It has a three part gradient from dark turquoise to light. It took a lot of time and patience and I love it. A lot of people at Fanime recognised me just by this necklace! It was a lot of fun to wear to the con — via deviantART

For a series entitled Bottom Feeders, New York-based ceramic artist Mary O’Malley created a variety of wonderful porcelain teacups, saucers, teapots, and vases adorned with and inhabited by a variety of porcelain crustaceans
. Mary’s pieces don’t appear to be made by hand. Instead they look as though they spent ages on the ocean floor where they were overtaken and inhabited by all sorts of undersea creatures before being brought to the surface for display.
If you head over to Mary O’Malley Etsy shop you’ll find many original pieces from the Bottom Feeders series available for purchase. They’re perfect for your next underwater-themed high tea or a meeting of your local Lovecraftian book club — via Archie McPhee

Sweetie Belle is usually an energetic little filly, but even she has her down days with nothing else to do but mope. Only, even when dragging herself across the floor she can still maintain her composure in being undeniably adorable — via Youtube

It is quite likely this is the coolest desk in the world! The Pipe Organ Desk has been in the works for more than 3 years. It is entirely made from solid wood down to the last screw. It features an octave of functional wooden organ pipes. Should you play the correct sequence of notes or tune, a secret compartment opens up — via Kagen Schaefer
A black squid pendant for all (most) occasions! It’s hand sculpted from polymer clay and it has iridescent blue-purple eyes. Comes with a jump ring ready to be put on your favourite chain — via Etsy
Spider No 26 was made with recycled watch parts and an automotive light bulb. In order to create the legs, forty-eight watch stems must be cut in different sizes to simulate the organic appearance of real spiders’ legs, which vary in size and shape between species. Each of these segments is carefully arranged into a leg and soldered at the joints with lead free, silver bearing solder. Each side of four legs is then soldered together at the base, forming what looks like a claw — via Etsy
This is The Internet. It is wireless and can normally be found at the top of Big Ben in London, where it gets the best reception. Whether you are looking for novelty for your desk, somewhere to hide your secrets or a subject for a speech to the shareholders, The Internet is a unique and fun tribute to this hilarious joke from The IT Crowd — via Etsy

I played around with a Space Invaders idea I have had buzzing in my head for a while. This time I have made a cushion, but my original thought is to use this motif on Tablet Covers. For the cushion I have used black linen, stitched onto dark gray wool using red cotton – I’m rather pleased with the affect — via little minx
Here’s my super speedy crocheted hexagon how-to. You need to use chunky yarn for these (I used the Patons Inca I was sent as a freebie last week!) This yarn is apparently around 14 ply — via Meet me at Mikes
Anyone who has ever assembled yarns for crochet projects knows how hard it is to choose the right colours. In this article I want to introduce my little crochet squares, which have proved to be very useful for this colour selection — via Aduoscriptum
