WA woman fined $2000 for starving dogs

A West Australian woman whose three dogs were starved and infested with fleas and ticks has been fined $2000 for animal cruelty.

The RSPCA visited the home of Heather Mourambine, at Geraldton in WA’s north, on 3 December 2010 after a complaint was made about the health of three dogs in the backyard of the property.

A crossbreed named Buster, a Shih Tzu named Lilly and a Kelpie cross named Bumblebee were found emaciated as a result of malnutrition and were affected by fleas and ticks — via redwolf.newsvine.com
