A quarrel in the frozen-foods aisle turned into a bloodbath on the streets last weekend.
On New Year’s Day, a man and his wife walked to the Apple Market near Independence Avenue and Monroe. Police records show that while they were grocery shopping, they got into an argument with 23-year-old Brenda Brown, a stranger. The Kansas City Star adds that it was an argument about, of all things, ice cream. The three exchanged heated words, but it didn’t become physical, and the couple left the market shortly after.
