Government abandons plans for internet filter

The Federal Government has abandoned its controversial plan for an internet filter.

Five years after Labor promised to filter the internet, Communications Minister Stephen Conroy is dumping the plan.

Instead he will ask internet service providers to block child abuse websites that Interpol includes in its worst of list — via redwolf.newsvine.com
