Sergeant Rex, an extraordinary military working dog, will finally be reunited in adoption with his former partner, Iraq War veteran, Corporal Megan Leavey, USMC.
Rex is at Camp Pendleton, California, and Leavey left Monday night to fly to California to pick him up after the US Air Force signed off on the adoption. The US Marines are completing the paperwork necessary for the adoption.
