The Free Wheelchair Mission is a religious NGO that produces wheelchairs out of $41.17 worth of parts, and makes its plans for same available for free online. The project was inspired by the sight of a legless Moroccan woman dragging herself across a dirt road. Now the project works to provide low-cost wheels to all comers around the world — via boingboing

I am looking for a wheelchair for my grandfather who lives alone. So, a powered wheelchair would be nice, but anything would be great.
Thank you, Jana

I’m trying to help a family who has a 7 year old boy. His name is Victor, he is special, he can’t talk, walk and he still needs diapers. Family can’t afford a wheelchair. it would be great if anyone has a whellchair to donate. My name is Marcia and I work at the social services department of a Framingham Community Health Center in Mass.
Thank you

I am a single mother who has a several different problems attacking my muscles, tendons, bones and cartilage.
I need a manual chair because I have no way to get an electric one out of my house or to transport it. I am lucky that where I live the halls and doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair. My health is steadily declining and I’ve got to keep going for my daughter, disability payments aren’t enough for us.
I’m in central Missouri if anyone is out there.
Bright Blessings

I am a pastor who fell at the church where I was pastor, sustaining a brain injury. It has been a long time, and I haven’t gotten better. I don’t think I’ll be able to work again. I am 62 yrs old, and have no pension. I can’t go to church meetings or a lot of other places because I don’t have a wheelchair and can’t afford one. If anyone has any ideas for help for me, please let me know.
