Beekman / Timex + Todd Snyder

The Timex + Todd Snyder Beekman watch is a contemporary reissue of a late-1960s racing-inspired model that Snyder, a classic car enthusiast, discovered while combing through Timex’s 160-plus-year archive. It is notable for the vintage-style curlicue tachymeter scale in the centre of the dial, a feature designed to gauge the speed of a moving object, like a race car on a track, over a predetermined distance. At 40 mm in diameter, the stainless steel case is designed for modern tastes and water-resistant to 30 meters. Over the dial is a domed acrylic crystal, which brings the watch’s overall thickness to 12 mm. The Timex + Todd Snyder Beekman is offered in two colour ways, one with a cream-coloured dial and a reddish brown croco-pattern leather strap, the other with a black dial and matching black leather strap. Each is priced at $158 — via WatchTime
