Phillips Residence / Herbert Burns


We’d call this mid century modern home an instant classic — except, well, it’s always been a classic, ever since its inception in 1961. Designed by Palm Springs architectural designer Herbert Burns for Madge Phillips, the heir of Phillips Petroleum, the luxe residence screams laid-back glamour, which, given its location in the Historic Tennis Club neighbourhood, is only natural.
